Ronnie and I woke up early this morning so we decided to drive around and see if we could find any of the Moonshine Glass Art Easter Eggs that were hidden around Wallowa County.
Every year Stirling Webb hides 100 glass blown Easter eggs all over Wallowa County. People could stop in at his business, Moonshine Glass Art, for breakfast at 8 AM and at 8:50 AM he handed out a sheet with a list of all the places people could find eggs with bonus locations for the people that were able to attend in-person and then at 9 AM he released the list of locations on the business Facebook page.
This county was CRAWLING with egg hunters and it was an awesome site to see. Having a one year old that is not particularly fond of getting in and out of the car, we drove around to see if we could find anything from the car but we didn't get lucky. As we drove around I definitely felt the friendly competitive spirit in the air... My anxiety started to rise and I assumed everyone was looking for glass blown eggs... I had a sneaking suspicion that my competitive spirit was either dying or dead but this confirmed it. Ronnie and I decided to forage for some pine needles to make a clean version of pine-sol (Part II: I unleashed my competitive spirit and it foraged for pine needles and went home....) and head home to bake our homemade sourdough cinnamon rolls with vanilla bean cream cheese frosting.
Since I thought this may be the case, we stopped by Moonshine Glass Art yesterday to pick out our very own glass blown egg. While we plan on reviving my competitive spirit and participating in future egg hunts, especially when Ronnie is able to enjoy it too, we decided it will be a tradition each year to make sure to purchase one of these amazing eggs to have our own family scavenger hunt for the egg of the year!

When we spoke with Stirling yesterday, he said that he has 10 glass blowing projects that you can do in his shop that range from $50 to $150. Eggs are one of the things that you can create. We will definitely be keeping that in mind for something fun to do when friends visit or maybe even when this Mama needs a little break!
Outstanding!!!! Good, clean, free fun
